South Yorkshire cyclist attempts record-breaking 3,000km challenge

Richard Nutt, from Rotherham, plans to ride the furthest distance ever covered in seven days

A south Yorkshire father-of-four will set out on June 1 to break the world record for the longest distance ever ridden in a week.

Richard Nutt, an experienced road racer, finished in fifth place in last year's Strava June Monthly Training Series Challenge, clocking a highly impressive 6,352.5km over the month.
