The Stafford Grand Prix - part of the British Cycling Elite Circuit Series - will take place on Thursday July 8 rather than July 7 to avoid a clash with the football World Cup semi-finals.
"Initially when we put the application in to British Cycling to be part of the series we had picked Wednesday July 7 based on other cultural events taking place within the town that week, but once it became clear there was a clash with the world cup we all felt it was sensible to move the event by a day," said event organiser Paul Rowlands.
