Ian Stannard and Elia Viviani will tackle Strade Bianche, while Sebastian Henao will lead Team Sky at the Tour de Langkawi

Sir Bradley Wiggins will join Geraint Thomas and Richie Porte at Paris-Nice, Team Sky has confirmed, with Chris Froome heading to Italy for Tirreno-Adriatico.

Thomas, who won last month’s Volta ao Algarve, will hope to challenge once again in the General Classification, while Porte continues his build up to the Giro d’Italia.

Froome, meanwhile, will be joined by British champion Peter Kennaugh, Mikel Nieve and new signings Leopold König and Wout Poels at Tirreno. Elia Viviani will be their man for the sprints, while Omloop Het Nieuwsblad winner Ian Stannard and Salvatore Puccio round out the squad.

Stannard and Viviani will also be in action on Saturday at Strade Bianche, and Sebastian Henao will lead Sky in their first appearance at Le Tour de Langkawi.
