Tour of Britain organisers today announced a full list of teams for the race that takes place in just over one month. CSC is the only ProTour team in the list of 16 but is joined by Tour de France wildcard teams Agritubel and Barloworld.

Two British based teams, Recycling and Plowman Craven will ride as will a British team largely made up of young riders from the Olympic Academy.

This year?s race starts with a prologue in Crystal Palace and ends in Glasgow seven days later. The 2.1 ranked race takes in new ground this year with a stage from Reading to Southampton and stage in Somerset.

The race will also receive backup from the reformed National Escort Group and councils putting on stage finishes have been required to neutralise the last eight kilometres of the route in a bid to improve safety.
