Tom Boonen insists he will decide when to retire and will not be persuaded by the thoughts of anyone else

Tom Boonen (Etixx-Quick Step), one of the favourites for Saturday's Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, says that recent crashes or team brass will not stop his cycling career.

The Belgian leads team Etixx at the first cobbled race of the year with Niki Terpstra and Tony Martin.
