Tom Dumoulin out of Milan-San Remo with illness

Tom Dumoulin will miss Milan-San Remo on Saturday with flu, but should return for the Volta a Catalunya on Monday

Tom Dumoulin (Giant-Alpecin) will miss Saturday's Milan-San Remo with illness, but should be fit enough to start the Volta a Catalunya on Monday, according to his team.

The Dutchman was scheduled to lead Giant-Alpecin in the first Monument of the year, but has come down with flu in the week leading up to the race.
