An official DVD of highlights from this year’s Tour of Britain has been released this week by the race’s organiser, SweetSpot.

The 90-minute DVD pulls together the best moments from the race, from stage winning moves to riders struggling on some of the race’s tough climbs, including the decisive Constitution Hill where Michael Albasini (HTC-Columbia) made his race-winning move.

“Every year we get people asking whether there would be a Tour of Britain highlights DVD available, but the number of those requests were particularly high in the build up to this year’s Tour, showing the popularity of the race”, said SweetSpot’s Alastair Grant.

“Following the tremendous success of this year’s Tour we are very pleased to be able to offer our fans the chance to purchase highlights of the race, which I’m sure will live long in the memory of all the spectators who came to the roadside and supported The Tour.”

The DVD also includes previously unseen out-takes and a bonus DVD of the 2009 event.

The DVDs, produced by Century Television, are currently available from Provision Clothing, Official Suppliers of Vitesse clothing to The Tour, via their website www.provisionclothing.com

The 2011 Tour of Britain starts in Scotland on Sunday September 11 and concludes in London on Sunday September 18. Full route details will be announced in the spring of 2011.
