As we all know, cyclists and Twitter is often a fantastic combination, allowing the fans a behind the scenes look at what goes on in and around the professional peloton. Here are some of the tweets that caught our eye this week, including ones from Dries Devenyns, Alex Dowsett and Alex Howes.

    I don’t get the egg tweet, you put the eggs in a bowl with the milk/butter, whatever you like and then microwave it?

    I am not a chef nor a hungry cyclist hurried for protein. Although I do know for 3 generations of my family paternal and maternal which lands late 1800’s we have always broken eggs into a bowl to remove the little white stringy umbilical type deal attached to the yoke, we toss that. We just do, I don’t know why. I should have asked my ancestors, now they are all dead, and I am still not eating that stringy thing. That is one reason for the bowl. I am also aware of added ingredients that folks prefer like milk that stir in well with the bowl first method. Phil Gaimon is such a good rider and fabulous blogger with nice writing skills, maybe he’s really onto something that needs a closer look, or maybe not. Go Phil, race until you are a hundred years old. Every minute of your career has brought me and many great joy and excitement. We love us some Phil Gaimon, scrambled eggs direct to skillet. Why not?

    how can they expect to make fluffy eggs without a proper scrambling bowl? I have mine hanging next to the bed.

    If you’re just “stirring” eggs, “you’re doing it wrong” if your goal is to make scrambled eggs. As the tweeted photo shows, if you just stir the eggs, you end up with chunks of egg whites among your dense scrambled eggs. If you like your eggs that way, that’s fine.
