Advance publicity for the first ever UCI Mtb World Championships to be staged in the UK next month in Scotland (September 3-9) begin this weekend when the ?Worlds on Tour Trailer? parks up near Peebles and Selkirk.

On Saturday (August 4) the ?Worlds on Tour Trailer? towed by a Nissan Navaro (sponsor) and a publicity team will descend on the Osprey car park, opposite the Hub in the Forest, at Glentress Mountain Bike Centre. This is just outside Peebles on the Scottish Borders.

The trailer moves on to the Merido Marathon Event Village, at Selkirk Rugby Club, that same evening, and for the morning of August 5.

Visitors will be able to find out about travel and accommodation, how to ride the World courses, grab a few freebies, or just lounge around chatting over a coffee or a can of Red Bull.

There?s also a holiday competition to enter.

The UCI Mtb World?s at Fort William in September have attracted 700 riders from 50 nations. They will compete for 19 world titles, in four disciplines, cross-country, downhill, 4-cross and trials.
