Videos of the week: Richie Porte's Paris-Nice crash and a day in the Italian snow

A selection of the best videos from the world of cycling

It was a busy week of racing across Europe, with Team Sky's Richie Porte winning at Paris-Nice and Colombian Nairo Quintana laying down the Tour de France gauntlet with a win at Tirreno-Adriatico.

Take a look behind the scenes of the Italian race and a peek at a daredevil Polish biker carrying out a gravity-defying stunt in our collection of the videos of the week.

Richie Porte crashes at Paris-Nice

It was a tricky stage for the Team Sky boys, with Porte and Geraint Thomas both chasing down Michal Kwiatkowski's yellow jersey. Unfortunately for the pair, they both managed to fall off in the damp conditions, although neither incident was as serious as Thomas' crash last year.

In this one, Porte's back wheel slips out from underneath him, sending the Australian skidding along the tarmac. The timing of the crash meant that Porte had to jump straight back on and smash it down the rest of the descent to catch up with the pack.

We've all been there. Maybe not right there, but we've all taken a tumble during our first few days of using clipless pedals. You come to a stop, unclip the wrong foot and all of a sudden you're flat on your back.

Unfortunately for this cyclist there was a group of motorcyclists who witnessed the entire thing and even uploaded it to YouTube to compound their embarrassment.

The Orica-GreenEdge team do like to keep their video department busy, with daily roundups uploaded from Tirreno-Adriatico, where Adam Yates held his own against the world's best climbers.

Take a look behind the scenes of the snow-fest that was stage five in the Italian race, with some insightful comments from a number of the Orica riders.

Don't look down!

If you're afraid of heights, it's probably best to look away now. Michal Kollbeck is known in some circles as a daredevil, but that term may be a bit light for his latest stunt - riding along the White Line in Sedona, Arizona.

There was a little bit of a drop down to the bottom, so let's hope the Pole was wearing a helmet to protect him from any injury. Luckily the chap has balls the size of melons, so he managed to come out unscathed.
