World Ranking points can be gained from World Champions, the Olympics and World Cup events, giving this weekend’s races an important standing in the track cycling calendar ahead of this summer’s Olympic Games.

The Hong Kong leg is the third and final in the 2015-2016 World Cup following rounds in Cali, Colombia and Cambridge, New Zealand. As it’s the final round the trophy will be presented to the highest scoring nation in each racing discipline.

The 3,000 capacity velodrome has a 250 metre track and in this Olympic year will likely be full as fans try to get a firsthand look at what form riders are in ahead of Rio.

You can watch all the events live on the UCI‘s official Youtube stream at the top of this page.
