Wiggins team jersey unveiled by Rapha
Rapha reveals new red, blue and gold Wiggins team kit, and announces long-term partnership with Sir Bradley Wiggins
The jersey that will be worn by the new Wiggins team has been unveiled by British clothing manufacturer Rapha.
The company also announced that it has formed a partnership with Bradley Wiggins to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games "and beyond".
Wiggins will leave Team Sky after he takes on Paris-Roubaix in April, with a tilt at the iconic Hour Record scheduled for June in London before he starts preparing for what will be his final Olympic appearance in 2016.
Wiggins will ride for the team that bears his name when he leaves Sky, as Cycling Weekly revealed in December.

Wiggins said: "“I’ve got to know the Rapha team well over the last few years at Team Sky; they’re serious about design and they love cycling almost as much as I do. I want a range of kit that looks great but is also functionally practical for today’s cyclist in all their different shapes and sizes, and I know Simon [Mottram, Rapha founder] and the team at Rapha will do the business."
Rapha has designed the blue, red and gold Wiggins team kit "using the rich heritage of British cycling, and taking inspiration from Sir Bradley’s global ambitions for the sport". They continue: "both logo and jersey represent the style, heritage and dynamism of the British pioneer".

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, an exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
