Sir Bradley Wiggins to miss Stafford Grand Prix

Team Wiggins confirmed the 2012 Tour de France winner's withdrawal from the event in a statement on Friday morning

Sir Bradley Wiggins has withdrawn from the Stafford Grand Prix, which takes place this Friday evening (July 3) in the West Midlands town.

The former Team Sky man had been confirmed earlier this week in his new team's line-up for the second round of the British Cycling Elite Circuit Series.
