Online cycle retailer Wiggle (www.wiggle.co.uk) has been made aware that some of its customers are concerned about credit card information held by the company.

Wiggle has been in contact with the Metropolitan Police Fraud Alert team regarding the security of information stored by the company. It has been assured by the team that customer details are safe.

However, if anyone has any evidence that this is not the case then Wiggle is asking that they email the Met directly on fraud.alert@met.police.uk, and send a copy of the message on to Wiggle at data@wiggle.co.uk.

"Please rest assured that we do absolutely everything possible to safeguard the security of our customers sensitive information. We can obviously not discuss operational details publicly," said a Wiggle statement. "Many of the cyclists active in online forums are Wiggle customers. A few of them have experienced credit card fraud. Wiggle is a common link between cyclists, not the fraud!"
