Vasil Kiryienka leads Team Sky at the Revolution Series event in Manchester this Saturday (January 23)
- Laura Trott headlines list of Olympic track stars in attendance

World time trial champion Vasil Kiryienka swaps tarmac for the wooden boards of Manchester velodrome as he takes part in the final round of the 2015/16 Revolution Track Series this Saturday, January 23.

Belarusian Kiryienka joins a host of established track stars, headlined by Olympic champion Laura Trott fresh from her omnium victory at the Hong Kong round of the UCI Track World Cup last weekend.

This weekend’s Revolution has particular resonance, as it will be the final event before the UCI Track World Championships take place in London in March. And then it’s onto the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August.

“After Revolution we’ve got a training camp and then, of course, there’s the Track Cycling World Championships in London,” said Trott. “I don’t think we’re racing that much between the Worlds and the Olympics.”

Dutchman Theo Bos will be one of the sprint stars taking part in the event’s many competitions, where he will face British riders Lewis Oliva and Matthew Rotherham, and German powerhouse Robert Förstemann among many others. The full rider listing is available online.

Although all seated tickets have now sold out, there are still a few standing and track centre tickets available. Visit the Revolution Track Series website for more details and online ticket purchasing.

Alternatively, if you can’t make it to Manchester, the event will be televised live on Eurosport 1 between 8-10pm.
