10.36 – MacLean to race for bronze
Craig MacLean has been defeated in the second round of the men’s sprint by Bos. MacLean will now race for bronze against either Mickael Bourgain or Gregory Bauge of France.
Next up is the women’s repechage event for the keirin, but both Britons taking part – Anna Blyth and Victoria Pendleton – have already qualified. Racing then resumes this afternoon at 3 pm local time with the men’s kilo.

Victoria Pendleton has easily won her classification heat for the women’s keirin.

10.10 – MacClean Loses First Round of Sprint semis
Craig MacLean has lost the first round of the best of three in the sprint semi-finals against Dutchman Theo Bos. But the Briton can take consolations from the fact that it was a close fight.

Next up is the first round of the woman’s keirin. CW has spoken to British Performance Director Dave Brailsford this morning and he says all is well in the British camp. “We want to tackle the last day just like it was the first.”
