HELL OF THE ASHDOWN: HOT TICKET

If you were hoping to get an entry in for the Hell of the Ashdown Forest Sportive on February 1, it is now or never.

With entries open a matter of days, more than 500 of the 780 available places are taken for these 50 or 110km rides taking in a host of climbs in the quiet lanes of Kent.

A new start area and HQ have allowed organisers to increase capacity from last year's 500 after the ride filled up and many were left disappointed, but it's looking like reaching the limit earlier than ever.

This year’s event starts in Biggin Hill and winds its way to the Ashdown Forest before returning via every nasty hill the organisers, Catford CC, could find – hence the ‘Hell’ of the title.

To enter, go to www.hell.gb.com, but be quick.
