Jeremy Hunt career profile
Jeremy Hunt began his career on the road back in 1996 with the Spanish Banesto team of five-time Tour de France winner, Miguel Indurain.
Hunt rode for several teams over the course of his career including Big Mat, MBK, Unibet and finally Crédit Agricole. Hunt is predominantly a sprinter taking several wins from bunch finishes, but is also a strong classics riders, winning the GP d’Ouverture La Marseillaise.
After a disappointing season with only a stage in the Tour of Langkawi his name, Hunt will be one of a host of British riders heading to the new Cervélo Test Team next season after team manager Roger Legeay failed to secure a replacement for a title sponsor at his French Crédit Agricole squad.
Hunt is a seasoned one-day rider and is a key part of the team’s assault on the spring Classics next season, along with new team-mates Andreas Klier and Roger Hammond. Hunt made the decisive break in the 2009 Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne to take a superb third place behind Tom Boonen and Bernhard Eisel, one of the most impressive results of the Briton's career.
Hunt joined British-based Team Sky for the 2011 season.
