You might be surprised to learn that Campagnolo's front derailleurs have also seen some heavy revision in order to make the most of the improvements made elsewhere in the new 11-speed groupsets.

• With greater rigidity in mind the inner plate has been redesigned, it now includes a small protrusion to help collect the chain off the inner ring and deposit it on the outer for a quicker shift.
• The two halves of the cage are now shaped like a funnel. This better allows full spread of gears to be used on the cassette without the chain rubbing whilst also giving a more precise shift.
• The single cage design is compatible with both compact and standard cranksets.
• Record gains an outer cage of carbon fibre whilst Super Record additionally gets titanium hardware.
