The 69-mile McKinlays road race in Somerset on May 18 is still taking entries. Organiser Brandon Ellis has an 80-rider limit and still has places available.
The new 12-mile circuit is based on the Blackdown Hills with a tough mile-long climb that should provide a worthy winner of the king of the mountains competition, and the first across the finish line will go home with £500 in their pocket. The prize list of over £1,000 for the E/1/2/3 race has separate prizes for 2nd and 3rd cat riders.
