SCOTLAND'S MTB WORLD CUP OPEN FOR BUSINESS
Tickets for the Scottish round of the 2008 Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup are now on sale.
The round will be held over the weekend of June 6-8, 2008, at Fort William - a venue recognised by the UCI as the 'Best Mountain Bike Event' for the last three years, as well as Scottish Sporting Event of the Year 2006.
The scenic slopes of Aonach Mor and the Forestry Commission Scotland's Leanachan Forest, will challenge the 500 world-class riders from more than 35 countries. The riders will compete in three mountain bike disciplines: downhill, four-cross and cross-country.
Fort William hosted last year's mountain bike World Championships, which saw a home win for Scotland's 18-year-old Ruaridh Cunningham as he became Britain's first downhill World Champion when he won the junior event.
Tickets to see all of the action can now be purchased at www.fortwilliamworldcup.co.uk or by calling 01397 705 825 (between 9am-5pm).
