Online retailer Wiggle is the new title sponsor for the Enduro Six mountain bike event, which takes place on Sunday April 27 at Carlton Hall, near Tamworth.
The Enduro Six is a selection of off-road events which all take place using a six-mile off-road loop. The main event requires riders to cover as many miles as they can in a six hour period. Riders complete this solo, rather than as a team.
Each of the 500 riders taking has a secured pit area that must contain all the food, drink and spares that they will require during the race. If they forget something, then they could be in trouble.
On the preceding day (Saturday, April 26) there's a running race - the Wiggle Thunder Run 10k - based in the same area as the cycle course. Plus there's a chance to try out a selection of Focus bikes, browse trade stands and much more.
The event is organised by Pro Velo Support, the people behind the successful Mountain Mayhem 24-hour off-road enduro race and the forthcoming 24-hour road race, the Shimano 24.
