CSC UNVEILS NEW ‘CLEAN’ JERSEY FOR 2008

CSC riders pulled on the team’s new jersey for the first time on Wednesday, revealing a new-look white jersey with red sponsor names and a black lower section.
The team claims on its website that the colours represent its focus on a clean and trustworthy sport.
The new jersey was designed Inger Tanderup Klixbull from the USA Ogilvy advertising agency in Chicago. In an original touch, the colours fade-out on the shoulders, front and legs using the rider’s autographs.
The team’s clothing will be made by Swedish company Craft, with lead sponsor CSC also filling the panel on rider’s shorts with their www.csc.com website address. CSC also reminded everyone that the squad has won the UCI ProTour team prize for the last three years by putting the ProTour logo on the chest with the three years of success.
”We're very proud of the new design. It represents our beliefs as a team and at the same time it gives us a clean and stylish look, which is noticeable in the peloton,” team manager Bjarne Riis said in a statement.
“The idea to use the rider's signatures in our visual identity symbolizes that we are all committing ourselves to stand together and fight for the future of our sport in the right way.”
The CSC team will be in Majorca until January 18, with a squad travelling to Australia for the Tour Down Under, which starts with a criterium on January 20.
