A record number of cyclists turned out for the annual Stevenage Cycle ride last Sunday.
Amongst the riders were the Mayor of Stevenage and CTC president Phil Liggett. The sun was shining for the record 359 people that came out for the “Emitremmus” cycle ride, which goes from Stevenage to Saffron Walden and back.
The 101km route lasted between four and eight hours and took the participants from Fairlands Valley Park, through Aston and Benington and a few more villages, before stopping for refreshments then pedalling back.
