COMEBACK ACE PREBBLE BACK ON TOP

THE winner back in 2000 and joint first the following year, comeback rider Richard Prebble (Pinarello RT) made a winning return in Brighton Mitre CC’s end-of-season 25-mile time trial on the Steyning course in West Sussex today.

Prebble clocked 53-20 to finish with just three seconds to spare over Mike Coyle, leader of the winning VC Etoile team.

Sean Yates and his brother Christian (In Gear RT) set a tandem event record of 49-34, and former world rowing champion and Olympic medallist Rebecca Romero (Science in Sport.com) took the women’s prize with her 58-10.

D. Dent (GS Stella) 54-41
