T-MOBILE SACK ULLRICH AND SEVILLA
The T-Mobile team has sacked Jan Ullrich and Oscar Sevilla by fax after they became embroiled in the 'Operacion Puerto' doping investigation in Madrid.
Ulrich revealed he had been sacked by fax on Thursday but said he would fight the decision and recently reiterated that he was innocent.
"I am very disappointed about the fact the decision was not communicated to me personally but by T-Mobile's lawyers in a fax," Ullrich was quoted as saying.
"I think it's a shame that I have given so many years of good service and for all that I have done for the team, that I be seen as just a fax number."
The 32-year-old German was suspended before the start of the Tour de France by T-Mobile after Spanish police sent a 38-page dossier to the Tour organisers and teams that implicated Ullrich in the doping investigation.
Ullrich rode for T-Mobile squad from 1995-2002, when it was called Telekom, then rode for a year riding with Bianchi in 2003, before returning to T-Mobile in 2004.
