The thief who stole Lance Armstrong's time trial bike during the Tour of California in February faces a three-year jail sentence.
Lee Crider, 40, a resident of Sacramento, California, removed Armstrong's one-off black and yellow Trek TT bike from a secured team vehicle after the ToC prologue.
Crider then sold the $10,000 bike to a local dealer for $200, who then later turned it in to police when he realised what it was.
Crider is due to be sentenced on Monday for burglary and theft, whilst the dealer who bought the bike - Dung Hoang Le, 33 - has already been sentenced to a three-month jail term for receiving stolen goods.

Why was the dealer given a jail term when he was honest enough to inform the police and hand it in? Am I missing something here?
