Hammond third overall in Tour of Denmark

Roger Hammond wins stage two

Britain’s Roger Hammond has finished third overall in the Tour of Denmark, a result which augers well for the second half of the season.

Hammond’s podium place behind Denmark’s Jakob Fugsland (Saxo Bank) and Maurizio Biondio (Flaminia) came after getting into a break of four on stage four with Cervelo team-mate Jeremy Hunt. Hunt won the stage, whilst Hammond moved into fourth overall.
