Lance Armstrong, Tour de France 2009, stage 19

If you have always fancied riding with Lance Armstrong and live within spitting distance of Glasgow, now is your chance. But you will have to be quick.

Armstrong announced last night via Twitter - his favoured means of communication these days - that he would be going for a spin in Glasgow at midday today (Tuesday, August 18) and anyone was welcome to join him.

Details published this morning show the ride starts from Paisley at 12 o'clock. Armstrong advises bringing a waterproof jacket and the Met Office report backs up the Texan's assessment of this morning's conditions.

Armstrong is believed to be attending the U2 concert at Hampden Park this evening before starting the Tour of Ireland on Friday.
