Cycle show opens in London on Friday

Cycle 2009 - the UK's biggest bike show - kicks off on Friday, October 9, at Earls Court, London for three days.

The show is your chance to check out a whole load of 2010 bikes, accessories and clothing first hand, with many of the world's largest bike manufacturers unveiling their new model ranges to the British public.

Brompton, Cannondale, Campagnolo, Condor, Moulton, Sabbath, Shimano, Specialized and USE are a selection of some of the brands with dedicated stands in addition to the UK's largest distributors and importers.

As well as trade stands, there is a packed programme of entertainment events going on throughout the show, including talks, films, BMX demos, fashion shows, challenges, bike test tracks and more.

Plus, some of the biggest names in cycling will be in attendance this year. The legendary Eddy Merckx joins stars of the road, off-road and track at the event, including Tour de France winner Alberto Contador, Victoria Pendleton, Nicole Cooke, Rob Hayles, Shanaze Reade, Ed Clancy, Jamie Staff, Dan, Gee and Rachel Atherton and Lizzie Armitstead among others.

Cycle 2009 runs from Friday, October 9, to Sunday, October 11, at Earls Court, London. Advance tickets are available from the Cycle 2009 website.

Come and see Cycling Weekly and our sister magazines Cycle Sport, Cycling Active and MBR on the IPC Media stand, C31.
