Sylvain Calzati career profile
A journeyman professional, Calzati's close victory in the 2004 Tour de l'Avenir brought him to the attention of ProTour squad Ag2r.
His day in the sun came at the 2006 Tour de France, when the Frenchman attacked from a breakaway to take a solo stage victory into Lorient.
However, since then, he has been plagued by injury niggles and struggling form.
Joining the new Team Sky for 2010 as one of two Frenchmen on board, it's likely that decent climber Calzati will be employed as a domestique.
