Haussler to lead Cervelo at Tour of Britain
Heinrich Haussler, stage winner, Tour de Suisse 2010, stage 2
Heinrich Haussler will lead Cervelo's squad at the Tour of Britain in September, joining home riders Daniel Lloyd and Jeremy Hunt.
Haussler had recently announced that he would not be competing in the World Championships in Australia (October 3) due to a persistent knee injury, so it is unclear how good his form will be at the Tour of Britain.
Martin Reimer, Gabriel Rasch and Ignatas Konovalovas complete Cervelo's six-man squad attending Britain's premier stage race, which runs from September 11-18.
Roger Hammond may take the place of one of those provisionally named riders depending on whether he gets a late call up for the
Vuelta a Espana (August 28-September 19).
The Tour of Britain will be one of the last outings of the Cervelo Test Team. Cervelo announced on Thursday that it will cease to sponsor a team after the 2010 season. The manufacturer will be now be official bike supplier to the Garmin team from 2011.
The Colnago-CSF Inox, ISD-Neri, Ireland and Vacansoleil squads have also announced provisional line-ups for the race.
The eight-stage 2010 Tour of Britain starts on Saturday, September 11, in Rochdale and concludes in Newham, London, on Saturday, September 18.
