Mark Cavendish wins Vuelta a Espana 2010 stage 12
When Mark Cavendish won stage 12 of the 2010 Vuelta a Espana he became only the second British rider to take individual stage wins at all three grand tours.
Robert Millar, the Glasgow-born climber, won stages at the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana in the 1980s.
Cavendish, from the Isle of Man, netted the stage win in Lleida on Thursday, September 9, as he seeks to prepare for the World Championships in October.

Good luck Cav! An amazing record already in Le Tour - but it would be even better to become the first Manx rider to win in all 3 grand tours. Also great to see Peter Kennaugh tackling his first ever grand tour in Spain. Two Manx riders in one grand tour - who would have ever thought that likely to happen?

Cav won four stages in the 2009 Giro.

Geoge, No he didn't. Cavendish won THREE stages of the 2009 Giro. Columbia won the team time trial as well but that doesn't count as an individual win.

Cav has also worn leader's jerseys, such as in Giro. As long as he avoids injury, he could become one of the successful riders of all time. He might be world road champ, and win more classics. I would not bet against it !
