McCallum joins Rapha-Condor-Sharp for 2011

James McCallum

As the domestic racing season comes to a close, the transfer carousel is getting up to speed.

Rapha-Condor-Sharp will sign James McCallum from Endura for 2011.

"In my opinion, he's going to fit in very well with the Rapha-Condor-Sharp way of doing things. I think he's a rider that hasn't achieved his full potential, even in this late stage of his career" said team manager John Herety.

McCallum, 31, was British national criterium champion in 2007 and Commonwealth Games scratch race bronze medallist four years ago.

Going through the exit door, Matt Cronshaw will leave for an U23 squad in Belgium next year.

There's potentially more to be decided with two riders, believed to be to be Australians Darren Lapthorne and Zak Dempster, in negotiation with ProTour or Pro Continental squads for 2011.

As done with the likes of Alex Dowsett in the past, Rapha-Condor-Sharp have a policy where they don't stand in the way if offers from ProTour/Pro Continental squads prove successful.
