Pooley shortlisted for Sunday Times award

Emma Pooley wins women's time trial, World Championships 2010
British pro cyclist Emma Pooley has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2010 Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year award.
Pooley has enjoyed a stellar year in the saddle, winning the time trial world championship, Tour de l'Aude, British national championship road race, Giro del Trentino, La Fleche Wallonne Feminine, Grand Prix Suisse time trial and Grand Prix Elsy Jacobs.
Few British riders have ever achieved so much in a single year, and those that have, have gone on to win the award: Nicole Cooke won it in 2008 and Victoria Pendleton in 2007.
Pooley joins five other athletes on the shortlist selected by a panel of judges for the annual award: heptathlete Jessica Ennis, skeleton rider Amy Williams, swimmer Fran Halsall, gymnast Beth Tweddle and rugby player Maggie Alphonsi.
The public are invited to vote in the awards on the Sunday Times website. The winner will be announced in the paper on November 28.

I'd love to vote for Emma but I do object to the amount of personal details I will be required to give the Sunday Times in order register my vote.
