Gilbert tops UCI Worldtour ranking

Belgian Philippe Gilbert has leapt to the top of the Union Cycliste Internationale's Worldtour Ranking after winning Amstel Gold, Fleche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege in the space of a week.

The Omega Pharma-Lotto rider now sits 120 points clear of second-placed Fabian Cancellara (Leopard-Trek) at the end of the Spring Classics. Australian Matt Goss (HTC-Highroad) is in third place.
