Sandwiching the two Pyrenean summit finishes is stage 13, which on paper is the most gentile of this year's mountainous battlegrounds.
Try telling that to the sprinters who, after yesterday's seven-hour slog, still have to pass over the Col d'Aubisque, which makes its 73rd appearance in the Tour.
The GC contenders are likely to be saving themselves for tomorrow, especially with some 40km between the summit of the Aubisque and the finish.
