There will be some serious mile eating done in time trials across the country this weekend, with several long distance events taking place - not least the National 24-Hour Championship.
The title race takes place in East Sussex this year, on the G24/89 course, and reigning champ John Warnock (Twickenham CC) will have to be on top form once again to make it a hat-trick of victories.
Second in 2009, Sean Childs (Royal Navy Royal Marines CA) will be hoping for his first victory, while Port Sunlight Wheelers' Andy Wilkinson will be aiming to add to the National 12-Hour title he won in 2009.
But Wilkinson is no novice when it comes to the whole day discipline - he is actually the competition record holder, and has been ever since 1997 when he covered a staggering 525.07 miles.
Elsewhere, there are a host of 100-mile events.
Adam Topham (High Wycome CC) is the last man off in the Western TTA 100 on the U46 course at Cricklade in Wiltshire on SUnday, where his likely challengers look set to be Steve Berry (San Fairy Ann CC) and Rob Weare (Leamington C&AC).
Further north, North Lancashire TTA are using the Cockermouth course in Cumbria for their 100-mile event on Saturday, where Cleveleys Road Club rider Derek Parkinson is fastest man on paper.
Reigning national 12-Hour champion Julian Jenkinson (UTAG Yamaha.com) is last man off in the Eastern Counties CA 100 on Sunday, on the E2/100c course at Fowlmere in Cambridgeshire where Peter Balls (West Suffolk Wheelers) and Nicholas English (AW Cycles) will also be hoping for a spot on the podium.
Team Swift's in-form rider Andy Jackson is favourite to win the Otley CC 50 on Sunday, which uses two laps of the V258 Dishforth to Knayton circuit. Congleton CC's Alf Hilton will be aiming to make a worthwhile trip over the Pennines by challenging for victory, while Ged Millward carries much of the promoting club's hopes.
And down in Norfolk, evergreen former British Best All-Rounder Ian Cammish (Planet X) is fastest on paper for the Godric CC 50 at Besthorpe in Norfolk, where Barry Charlton (Lyme RC) and Team Pedal Revolution.co.uk's Andy Bason, Mark Arnold and Nino Piccoli will also be riding.
Meanwhile, in Warwickshire in-form Matt Sinclair (Lutterworth Cycle Centre) will be aiming to build on his victory in the Melton Olympic CC 25 last weekend when he rides the Hinckley CRC event over the same distance on Sunday - this time on the K41/25 course at Wolvey.
