Pooley wins epic stage in Giro Donne

Emma Pooley wins women's time trial, World Championships 2010

Emma Pooley took the fight to Giro Donne leader Marianne Vos by winning the eighth stage of this year's race, a short 89km stage that finished at the top of the Torri di Fraele climb.

The Garmin-Cervelo rider and Vos (Nederland Bloeit) engaged in an enthralling battle on the way into the finish, the last 2km of which were on gravel roads.
