Bauge stripped of 2011 track sprint world titles

French track sprint cyclist Grégory Baugé has received a back-dated, one-year suspension from the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) for violating its anti-doping regulations.
The back-dated suspension will run from December 23 2010 to December 22 2011, meaning that Baugé will lose his 2011 World Championship title in the individual sprint and France will lose its team sprint title.
The UCI has confirmed that the suspension means that Great Britain's Jason Kenny will now receive the 2011 sprint world title as he placed second to Baugé in Apeldoorn in March. Sir Chris Hoy moves into the silver medal position.
Great Britain moves into the silver medal position in the team sprint, with Germany taking the world title.
Baugé received the suspension due to "two breaches of applicable requirements regarding rider availability and one missed test in 18 months", according to the UCI.
