Andy Tennant joined the British Cycling Olympic Academy in 2005, the year that he made his mark on the world stage by winning the individual pursuit at the Junior Track World Championships in Austria.
Since then, Tennant has competed on the track and road, riding for a variety of domestic British squads alongside his duties for Great Britain and England on the boards. He has held junior, under-23 and senior titles variously at national, European and world level on the track.
He took a landmark victory in the Tour of the Reservoir Premier Calendar road race in 2009, and won the Richmond Grand Prix in 2011.
