Hamilton to officially lose 2004 Olympic gold

American Tyler Hamilton will be stripped of his 2004 Olympic Games time trial gold medal after admitting to doping during his career.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will announce on Friday that it has stripped Hamilton of the title, and will award it to former silver medallist Viatcheslav Ekimov, according to a report filed by the Associated Press.
