Britain finishes second in WorldTour ranking

Britain finished in second place in the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) WorldTour country ranking for the 2012 season after the weekend's final counting event, the Tour of Beijing.

British cyclists have collectively enjoyed their best season in the history of the sport, with a whole raft of WorldTour wins topped off by Bradley Wiggins' Tour de France, Paris-Nice, Tour de Romandie and Criterium du Dauphine victories.
