Team CTC, 2013 launch
The newly-formed CTC elite women's racing team chose the London Bike Show to officially launch the squad on Saturday.
The five riders - Lydia Boylan, Nicola Juniper, Helen McKay, Tamina Oliver and Astrid Wingler - were joined by manager Steven Bailey on stage at the event to unveil the team.
The squad will compete in the women's national road race series and take part in six 'high profile overseas races', and the Newport and London Nocturne races.
In additon to racing, the riders will act as ambassadors for cycling to encourage more people to take up pedal-powered transport - something that fits into the national cycling charity CTC's work.
Merlin Cycles has supplied the team with N7even bikes, and the squad will be kitted out by Madison. The squad is also backed by Green Energy UK and cycle insurers Butterworth Spengler.
