Jonathan Hivert wins, Ruta del Sol 2013, stage two
Frenchman Jonathan Hivert (Sojasun) took his second consecutive stage win in the Ruta del Sol on Tuesday.
Hivert cruised home in Montilla ahead of American sprinter Tyler Farrar (Garmin-Sharp) and Italian Francesco Lasca (Caja Rural) in third.
Race leader Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) finished safely in the bunch to keep his name at the top of the general classification. Jurgen Van Den Broeck (Lotto-Belisol) currently lies in second spot at seven seconds, with Bauke Mollema (Blanco) in third at 11 seconds.
With just one stage remaining of the race on Wednesday - a 182.7 km trip from Lucena to Rincon de la Victoria - it's hard to see past Valverde defending his race win from 2012.
