Bradley Wiggins confirmed for Sky's Tour of Poland squad
Bradley Wiggins, Giro d'Italia 2013, stage 10
Bradley Wiggins makes his racing return with Team Sky at the Tour of Poland, starting on Saturday July 27.
Wiggins heads up a six-man squad for the WorldTour-level race after being forced to miss the Tour de France earlier this month due to a knee injury.
Wiggins will ride alongside fellow Brits Luke Rowe and Ben Swift, Colombians Sergio Henao and Rigoberto Uran, and American Danny Pate.
The seven-stage race starts with two stages in Italy before travelling to Poland and finishes with a 37km individual time trial from Wieliczka to Kraków. Giro d'Italia winner Vincenzo Nibali will lead Astana's team in the race.
Sky's Henao was third in the race last year behind overall winner Moreno Moser (Cannondale) and Michal Kwiatkowski (Omega Pharma) in second. Swift won two stages of the event.
Meanwhile, Richie Porte has been named in Sky's team for the one-day Clasica San Sebastian on Saturday, July 27. British riders Jonathan Tiernan-Locke and Josh Edmondson will also take part in the Spanish event.
