Luke Rowe career history
Welshman Luke Rowe is a product of the British Cycling Academy programme, and like his fellow Academy graduates Peter Kennaugh, Ben Swift and Geraint Thomas, he is equally at home on the track and on the road.

Having scored wins in the Madison and team pursuit in the European track championships, Rowe won silver in the European junior world champs road race confirming his credentials on tarmac as well as the boards.

Rowe has won two editions of the ZLM Tour – in 2011 and 2009. He was signed by the British-based WorldTour outift Sky as a neo-pro for the 2012 season.

Rowe scored a win in the opening stage of the Tour of Britain in September 2012, and then started the 2013 season well at the Tour of Qatar, where he placed ninth overall behind winner Mark Cavendish.
