Video: London 2012 Olympic facilities

With less than 200 days to go until the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games on July 27, a new video has been released showing off the sporting venues as the Olympic Park nears completion.

Former Olympic triple jump champion and now London 2012 Organising Committee member Jonathan Edwards presents the clip, as each venue is shown from the air and inside.

"Back in July 2005, when president of the International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge announced that London would host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games it was hard to believe that a hugely neglected part of the UK's capital city would be at the centre of the world's greatest sporting celebration," says Edwards, .

"The first sporting venue to have building works completed on the park was the velodrome, a real showcase of British design and construction that will benefit the community long after the Games have gone."

The velodrome - nicknamed 'the Pringle' due to its distinctive potato-based snack shaped roofline - hosts the final round of the 2011-12 UCI Track World Cup over February 17-19, which serves as the official Olympic test event for the venue.

The London 2012 cycling events kick off with the men's road race on July 28, 2012,
and conclude with the women's mountain bike cross-country race on August
12, 2012. The first track event takes place on August 2.
