Nutrition brand High5 has launched new range of gluten-free products to add to its healthy snack offering.

The Protein Hit bars come in three flavours – cacao & orange, peanut & caramel and coconut, lemon & raspberry. High5 says they are a “snack for your busy lifestyle, with no added sugar.”

The British brand is the co-lead sponsor of UCI women’s team Wiggle-High5. Emma Johansson, who rides for the team and took silver at the Olympics for Sweden, is already using the bars.

“Coconut, Lemon & Raspberry is my favourite,” Johansson says. “I find them really useful to sustain my energy levels when I am feeling hungry. I have been looking for a quick fix to add more protein to my diet and this is a healthy, convenient way to do so.”

Wiggle-High5 will compete in the second year of the new Women’s WorldTour in the 2017 season.

The team will look to build on its successes of this year including Johansson’s second place in the Tour of Flanders and Chloe Hosking’s win at La Course by Le Tour de France.
