It’s been a few years since German bike brand Stevens has had UK distribution, but its bikes are now available through East London bike shop Hub Velo.

The renewed availability of its bikes is timely, as this cyclocross season it turning out to be an epic battle in the men’s races between former world champion Mathieu van der Poel, who rides a Stevens and current world champion Wout van Aert who rides a Colnago.

And in the women’s races, Belgian champion Sanne Cant is on a Stevens bike too.

Top of Stevens’s cyclocross range is the Super Prestige Disc Di2 with a carbon frame, Shimano Ultegra Di2 drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes. It runs on DT Swiss R24 Spline thru-axle wheels, coming with Challenge Grifo Open tyres. Euro RRP is EUR3899 and Stevens quotes a weight of 8.6kg. The UK price from Hub Velo is £3200, which isn’t bad for a top flight crosser with electronic shifting.

Drop down to mechanical Ultegra and the price is EUR2999 or £2499, while there’s also a canti version sold with Ultegra for EUR2699. At present, Sterling prices are exchange rate dependent, but Hub Velo plans to offer more constant pricing in future.

Below the Super Prestige, Stevens makes five crossers with alloy frames as well as a junior cross bike.

Not just cyclocross bikes

Based in Hamburg, Stevens makes road, hybrid, mountain and e-bikes as well as its cyclocross range. Top of its road bike range is the carbon Xenon Di2 with Ultegra Di2 shifting and DT Swiss R20 Dicut wheels. Yours for EUR3599.
